Here’s a picture frame I whipped up for Christmas.
Although this is fairly primitive, there are a few lessons of note.
A – I wanted the stain to be quite light. I’m using pine again (as I do 99.9999% of the time). I sanded the frame aggressively down to 400 before applying the stain. The stain didn’t want to stick well. Perfect! It ended up looking pretty cool. This is the same stain color as I used on the Trucker Girl’s Sign. (See below).
Actually, maybe there is only one lesson. You get what you pay for!
